Mingda: A Visual Adventure, Splicing Games

Mingda(b.1997) , an artist bases in Beijing, was born in Manila, Philippine. They majored in painting and obtained his BFA, then MFA in Central Academy of Fine Arts.

The main medium of Mingda's creation is easel painting, supplemented by sculptural installations that combine flat and flat surfaces. The artist loves the contradictions of fairy tales, and often creates a painting adventure in the landscape of the farm with various animal images. The journey is also full of destruction and transformation, so the beautiful fable also hides the cruel side.

In connection with millennial birth and childhood, artists are nourished by many different cultures, including classical culture, y2k, and street culture. The love of fairy tales, fables, encyclopedias, unsolved mysteries, cult comics and other books has continued to today's creation. Artists like to reproduce the minimalist concept of ordinary people's paintings. In this desire for expression, they constantly make visual splicing games on space and media.
